In this edition of Tarikh, Prateeksha narrates the story of Otto Warmbier.
Otto Warmbier, was young aspiring college student. He went North Korea to celebrate New year. He was detained at Pyongyang airport by North Korean officers for allegedly stealing a propaganda poster from a hotel of Pyongyang.
On 16th March, 2016 he was sentenced for 15 years imprisonment with hard labour. However, released and send to USA on 13th June, 2017. His health condition was not stable and died within one week after returning to USA.
