As a poster war raged between the BJP and Congress in poll-bound Madhya Pradesh, digital payments company PhonePe objected to the use of its logo in the posters warning the Opposition party of legal action.
On June 23, the first posters targeting Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee President Kamal Nath had surfaced in Bhopal describing him as “Corruption Nath” and tagging him as “Wanted”. The posters carry QR codes and claim Nath is wanted in several scams in Madhya Pradesh. Later the same day, rival posters targeting Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan surfaced across several walls in the city. Photographs of these posters were also shared by the Congress.
