Rakhwale: As the Indian Air Force and Indian Navy gain more experience and confidence around Astra Beyond Visual Range (air-to-air) missile system, India has approached Dassault for integration with Rafale fighter aircraft.
Astra is developed by the Defence Research and Development Organisation DRDO and produced by Bharat Dynamics Limited.
The Union Cabinet has also approved construction of 4 fleet replenishment vessels (FSV’s) for the Indian Navy at a cost of 20 thousand crores. The ships will be built by Hindustan Shipyard Limited (HSL), Vishakhapatnam.
