A soldier died of his injuries on Friday during the encounter in Jammu and Kashmir’s Anantnag district which began on Wednesday. Two Army officers – a Colonel and Major – and a senior police officer were killed in the gunbattle with terrorists on Wednesday.
Security forces have cordoned off the Kokernag forest area in Anantnag and have launched a search operation to nab the terrorists. It has been close to 48 hours since the operation began, with 4 army personnel killed so far.
