The National Investigation Agency (NIA) in India has taken action against Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, a Khalistani terrorist who has been threatening Hindus residing in Canada. The NIA has seized Pannu’s properties, including his house in Punjab. A notice has also been placed outside his residence in Chandigarh. Pannun is the founder of the Sikh for Justice (SFJ), a pro-Khalistan organization, and has often made statements against India. In July 2020, the Indian government had declared Pannu as a terrorist under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA).
