The rescue operations at the Uttarkashi tunnel, where 40 workers are trapped, were briefly halted on Friday afternoon after debris fell again towards the drilling machine.
While inserting the 5th tube into the tunnel, debris started falling towards the machine’s side. Workers engaged in the rescue work were rushed out of the tunnel, and the operation was stopped for nearly an hour.
