Following the orders of the Ajnala court, Amritpal Singh’s aide Lovepreet Toofan was released from Amritsar jail on 24 February. The decision came a day after followers of Amritpal Singh stormed the Ajnala police station, demanding the immediate release of Toofan. Moments after walking out of the jail, Lovepreet Toofan said that he was grateful to “all and that the Sikh community should unite”.
