Bhojpuri film actor and singer Pawan Singh has announced to contest the Lok Sabha elections from Karakat seat in Bihar. However, he has not given any information about whether he will contest the elections as an independent candidate or on any party’s ticket. BJP had made Pawan Singh its candidate from Asansol in West Bengal. Expressing happiness over getting the ticket from BJP, he had described his relationship with Asansol as one of blood, sweat and livelihood. But the very next day he retracted his statement and refused to contest elections from Asansol citing personal reasons.
