It was around 17.97 lakh croe on 4 November 2016, 4 days before the demonetization. So 5 years after the demonetization it has gone 57 percent up. Government and RBI is pushing for cashless transactions, but still cash is most preferred way of payment. So what actually have Government achieved from demonetization, Nikhil decodes in detail.
