देशभर में आज से तीन नए आपराधिक कानून लागू हो गए हैं. 51 साल पुराने सीआरपीसी की जगह भारतीय नागरिक सुरक्षा संहिता (BNSS) लेगी. भारतीय दंड संहिता की जगह भारतीय न्याय अधिनियम (BNS) लेगा और इंडियन एविडेंस एक्ट की जगह भारतीय साक्ष्य अधिनियम (BSA) के प्रावधान लागू होंगे. महिलाओं से जुड़े ज्यादातर अपराधों में पहले से ज्यादा सजा मिलेगी. इन कानूनों के बारे में खुद गृ मंत्री अमित शाह ने जानकारी दी है.
Three new criminal laws have come into force across the country from today. The 51-year-old CrPC will be replaced by the Indian Civil Protection Code (BNSS). The Indian Penal Code will be replaced by the Indian Justice Act (BNS) and the provisions of the Indian Evidence Act (BSA) will be implemented in place of the Indian Evidence Act. Most crimes against women will get more punishment than before. Home Minister Amit Shah himself has given information about these laws.
