Crores of gas connections were given to many poor families under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Ujjwala Yojana. According to a report by The Hindu 90 lakh beneficiaries of the Ujjwala scheme never got their cylinders refilled in the financial year 2021-22. At the same time, about 1 crore people got their cylinders filled only once.
