In Jammu and Kashmir, the Congress is facing a struggle despite winning in an alliance with the National Conference. Omar Abdullah, the NCA vice-president, is set to become the leader of Nayak Kashmir. The Congress is reportedly demanding two ministerial births and the deputy speaker post in the valley, but Abdullah is only willing to give one Cabinet birth to Congress. The National Conference is still waiting for a letter of support from Congress, after which Abdullah will form the government. The swearing in is currently on pause.
