Farmers from Punjab are likely to unite under the umbrella body SKM to push for their 13 demands, including a legal guarantee for minimum support price. Farmer leaders have called for similar marches at the district level across other states. SKM leader Rakesh Tickett has urged farmers to unite for a joint fight to press the centre to accept their demands. Tractor marches are planned in different parts of the country, with Haryana’s farmer unit holding a march in Ambala starting at 10 this morning.
