आरएसएस प्रमुख मोहन भागवत ने संघ की शाखाओं में दी जाने वाली लाठी ट्रेनिंग पर बड़ा बयान दिया है. उन्होंने स्पष्ट किया कि यह ट्रेनिंग लड़ाई या सार्वजनिक प्रदर्शन के लिए नहीं, बल्कि वीरता और दृढ़ता विकसित करने के लिए दी जाती है. भागवत ने कहा कि लाठी चलाने से व्यक्ति में निडरता आती है और वह किसी से नहीं डरता. उन्होंने जोर देकर कहा कि यह प्रशिक्षण किसी को परेशान करने या झगड़ा करने के लिए नहीं है, बल्कि आत्मरक्षा और वीरत्व के भाव को जगाने के लिए है.

He clarified that this training is not given for fighting or public display, but to develop bravery and determination. Bhagwat said that wielding a lathi makes a person fearless and he is not afraid of anyone. He stressed that this training is not for harassing or quarreling with anyone, but to awaken the feeling of self-defense and bravery.
