Over a week since the election in Pakistan, the counting and repolling process is still ongoing. Preliminary results indicate Imran Khan’s party, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, as the front-runner, although official results are yet to be announced by the election commission. The Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz Sharif, led by Nawaz Sharif, holds the second position, whereas the third place is secured by Pakistan People’s Party of Asif Ali and Bilawal Bhutto Zardari. Both PMLN and PPP, along with few other parties are attempting to form the next government.
