The Supreme Court has pulled up the Telangana government over mass tree felling in Hyderabad’s Gachibowli area. The court stated, ‘Not a single tree should be chopped’ and expressed concern over the deforestation of 100 acres. The state government claims the land clearance was for an IT park development. The court has granted four weeks for the state to reply to the CEC report and will hear the matter again on 15th May.
