In separate incident of Kanwar yatris, tensions flared in Haridwar and Roorkee after minor collisions with vehicles. In Haridwar, a slight bump from a car provoked an aggressive reaction from a group of Kanwar pilgrims. Police swiftly intervened, detaining the accused, who later issued an apology.
