पंजाब सरकार ने सड़कों पर बढ़ती भिखारियों की संख्या को गंभीरता से लेते हुए बड़ा कदम उठाया है। सरकार के आदेशों के बाद अमृतसर प्रशासन तुरंत हरकत में आ गया है।कार्रवाई के दौरान प्रशासन और पुलिस ने विशेष रूप से उन भिखारियों को पकड़ा, जो छोटे बच्चों को साथ लेकर भीख मांग रहे थे। आशंका है कि इन बच्चों का शोषण किया जा सकता है या वे उनके असली परिजन नहीं हैं। ऐसे मामलों में बच्चों का डीएनए टेस्ट करवाया जाएगा, ताकि ये पता चल सके कि वे सच में उनके माता-पिता हैं या नहीं।
The Punjab government has taken a big step by taking seriously the increasing number of beggars on the streets. After the government’s orders, the Amritsar administration has immediately swung into action. During the action, the administration and police especially caught those beggars who were begging with small children. There is a fear that these children may be exploited or they are not their real relatives. In such cases, DNA test of the children will be done so that it can be known whether they are really their parents or not.
