Duniyadari | Ep. 1412 | July 22nd, 2025
On July 21, 2025, a Bangladesh Air Force F-7 BGI training jet crashed into the Milestone School and College in Dhaka’s Uttara area, causing a devastating fire that killed at least 31 people, including students and the pilot, and injured over 170.
The aircraft suffered a mechanical failure shortly after takeoff, and despite the pilot’s efforts to steer away from populated zones, the jet struck the school building during dismissal time. The tragedy has sparked public outrage and grief, especially as concerns rise about the safety of Chinese-made jets and the risks of conducting military training flights over densely populated urban areas.
Meanwhile, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit the UK and Maldives. In Gaza, Israeli forces have intensified strikes and ground operations in previously untouched neighborhoods, while 27 Western countries have urged for an immediate ceasefire. Iran’s foreign minister acknowledged damage to nuclear facilities, but emphasized continued efforts and willingness for indirect talks. Lastly, Russia has highlighted a large drone manufacturing factory supporting air attacks on Ukraine, marking heightened tensions and ongoing conflict in the region.
