In a statement on Operation Sindoor, the Prime Minister has declared it India’s new normal. It was stated that India’s forces were given a free hand to deal with terrorists and that every terror organization now knows the consequences. India’s policy is that talks and terror cannot happen simultaneously, nor can trade and terror. A direct message was delivered: “If there are talks with Pakistan, it will be only on terrorism; and if there are talks with Pakistan, it will be only on Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK).” The Prime Minister affirmed that India will respond to any terror attack on its own terms and at a time of its choosing, adding, “Modi’s mind is cool, it remains cool, but Modi’s blood is hot. And now, in Modi’s veins, hot vermillion is flowing, not blood.”
