Bank of Baroda marked India’s 79th Independence Day with a ceremonial flag hoisting led by Dr. Debadatta Chand, MD & CEO, in the presence of Executive Directors Shri Lalit Tyagi, Shri Sanjay Mudaliar, Shri Lal Singh, Smt. Beena Vaheed, and CVO Shri Vishesh Kumar Srivastava, along with senior officials and employees.
On the occasion, the Bank inaugurated bob Forest – a 6,000 sq.ft. green oasis at BKC featuring over 100 indigenous trees, rainwater harvesting systems, solar-powered amenities, and eco-friendly pathways—aimed at fostering urban biodiversity. The Bank also introduced bob Smartinvest.AI, a Gen-AI-powered chatbot designed to educate and guide customers on financial products through personalized, real-time interactions.
The celebrations included cultural performances by employees that reflected the spirit of national pride. The Baroda Alok Chandra Bravery Award 2025 was conferred upon Shri Rajiv Kashyap, Swachhata Sahayak, Bareilly City Region, for his exceptional courage and dedication.
Across the country, Bank of Baroda staff members also participated enthusiastically in the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign, proudly displaying the national flag at their homes and workplaces.
