भारत के साथ 7-10 मई तक हुए सैन्य संघर्ष के बाद खुद को विजेता बताते हुए पाकिस्तानी आर्मी चीफ असीम मुनीर एक के बाद एक इनाम अपनी सरकार से ले रहे हैं। पाकिस्तान में इस समय नागरिक सरकार नामभर की है और मुनीर ही वास्तविक शासक हैं। ऐसे में कहा जा सकता है कि वह खुद ही खुद को सम्मानित कर रहे हैं। फील्ड मार्शल की उपाधि के बाद अब पाकिस्तान के स्वतंत्रता दिवस (14 अगस्त) पर मुनीर को हिलाल-ए-जुर्रत मेडल दिया गया है। इस पर पाकिस्तानियों ने ही मुनीर के मजे ले लिए हैं।
