In this episode of #SocialList, Shivani Dalakoti talks about GST reforms Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has made big changes in GST. The 12% and 28% slabs have been removed, now only 5% and 18% remain. Essentials like milk, paneer and roti will stay tax-free. Everyday items like shampoo and toothpaste will have 5%, while electronics will be at 18%. Pan masala, cigarettes, gutkha, luxury cars and IPL tickets will attract a heavy 40% tax. This became a major talking point on social media all day.
