In Kanpur, a woman brutally murdered her husband after having an illicit affair with her nephew. She and her lover, the nephew, attacked the husband with an iron rod, striking him repeatedly on the head. After the killing, they buried the body in the garden behind their house. To hasten decomposition, they sprinkled 12 kilograms of salt over the body before burying it. The crime was uncovered 10 months later when the victim’s sister filed a missing person report. Police have arrested the wife and her nephew for the murder.
