TDK chief, actor Vijay, has launched the second leg of his campaign in Tamil Nadu, with a mega rally planned for Suruvali. This phase, titled ‘Vandanaayam Tamil Nadu’, will cover Nagapattinam and Thiruvarur. During his addresses, Vijay has been critical of both the DMK and the BJP, stating that “both these parties have done nothing for the state.” He plans to address local concerns, including the fishermen’s issue in the coastal region of Nagapattinam. The first leg of his campaign drew massive crowds, which led to significant security issues and travel delays, with his convoy once taking three and a half hours to cover just eight kilometers. His team states that better arrangements have been made for the large turnouts expected in this current phase.
