In a recent interview, Aaditya Thackeray stated that his party would soon hold a press conference with data on alleged electoral mismanagement, referring to the move as a ‘surgical strike’ whose timing could not be revealed. He heavily criticised the Election Commission for awarding his party’s name and symbol to the rival faction. Thackeray also voiced frustration over the three-year delay in the Supreme Court hearing what he termed the ‘biggest constitutional case of this country’ concerning the party split. He asserted that while there is time for suo moto cases on other issues, the fundamental question of which faction is legitimate remains pending. He also challenged Eknath Shinde to a one-on-one debate.
