In Guwahati, the Special Investigation Team (SIT) and CID of Assam raided the residence of Shyamkanu Mahanta, the main organiser of the North East India Festival in Singapore, who had taken singer Zubeen Garg to participate. A case has been registered under Section 61(2)/105/106(1) of BNS, 2023, in connection with the tragic death of Zubeen Garg after a scuba diving accident in Singapore.
