Bank of Baroda takes a step towards sustainability with bob Forest in Corporate Office, Mumbai.
Spread across 6,000 square feet in the heart of Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC), Mumbai, this living green oasis brings back biodiversity to the city. Endangered species such as Gulbakshi, Cleodendron and Marwa thrive here alongside indigenous plants from the Sahyadris. Many of these trees and herbs are not only vital to the local ecosystem but also find mention in the Puranas and other ancient scriptures, carrying forward centuries of heritage and healing wisdom.
Designed as a self-sustaining ecosystem, the forest is nourished by compost-enriched soil, supported by rainwater harvesting and powered by solar energy. Medicinal herbs, flowering plants, pollinator-friendly shrubs and native trees together create a sanctuary where butterflies, bees and birds return, reviving balance in the middle of a bustling city.
For Bank of Baroda, every tree planted is a step towards conservation.
The bob Forest is just the beginning, as we pledge to create many more such spaces across India, turning concrete corners into living habitats for future generations.
