In the Zubeen Garg death case, accused organiser Shyamkanu Mahanta and manager Siddharth Sharma have been remanded to 14 days of custody with the Special Investigation Team (SIT). Sharma was arrested in the National Capital region while Mahanta, who was reportedly in Singapore, was arrested and brought to Guwahati. The two were produced before the Chief Judicial Magistrate in Guwahati under tight security. Following the hearing, the court allowed the SIT to take them into custody for interrogation. As stated in the report, “after the hearing, they were taken out and they were straight taken to the CID office, allowing the SIT to take them into custody for interrogation and further investigation.” This development marks a significant step in the ongoing probe into the singer’s death.
