In an exclusive conversation with India Today’s Mario Sharkey, the wife of the late artist Zubeen, Garima, raises questions surrounding his death in Singapore. While the Singapore police have ruled out foul play in a preliminary autopsy report, citing drowning, his wife alleges severe negligence. She states that Zubin, who had a known medical history of seizures since 2020 and was advised by doctors to avoid water, was allowed to swim without a life jacket at a yacht party while visibly exhausted. “Why he had to face all this negligence? Because Zubin was not only my husband. Zubin was a legend,” she stated. With four arrests made in the case and a Special Investigation Team (SIT) involved, she expresses faith in the legal system to uncover the truth.
