बरेली में 26 सितंबर को आई लव मोहम्मद के नारे लगे और इसके बाद हुई सांप्रदायिक हिंसा के बाद हालात संवेदनशील बने हुए हैं। अब बरेली हिंसा के मामले में सियासत शुरू हो गई है और समाजवादी पार्टी का प्रतिनिधिमंडल दिल्ली से बरेली के लिए जल्द रवाना होने वाला है। इससे पहले सपा नेता और नेता प्रतिपक्ष माता प्रसाद पांडेय सहित कई सांसदों का एक प्रतिनिधिमंडल को बरेली जाने वाला था, लेकिन जिला मजिस्ट्रेट बरेली ने पुलिस आयुक्त लखनऊ और अन्य जिलों के पुलिस कप्तानों को पत्र लिखकर निर्देश दिया कि बिना अनुमति कोई भी राजनीतिक प्रतिनिधि बरेली की सीमा में प्रवेश ना करें।
