A touching gesture of interfaith harmony has taken social media by storm as Sufiyan Allahabadi, a young Muslim from Prayagraj, prayed for the recovery of Hindu saint Premanand Maharaj. In a 1-minute-20-second viral video, Sufiyan is seen offering prayers in front of Masjid-e-Nabawi in Medina, one of Islam’s holiest sites, for the Vrindavan-based spiritual leader’s health. Posted on X, the video sparked both admiration and controversy, with some reports alleging Sufiyan faced threats to remove it. Currently in Medina, Sufiyan dismissed claims of death threats as false. His father, Haji Mohammad Ilyas, revealed Sufiyan’s deep respect for Premanand Maharaj’s teachings.
