केंद्रीय प्रदूषण नियंत्रण बोर्ड (सीपीसीबी) के मुताबिक़, कई जगहों पर हवा की गुणवत्ता का स्तर एयर क्वालिटी इंडेक्स (एक्यूआई) पर 300 से अधिक दर्ज किया गया. 300 से 400 के बीच के एक्यूआई को ‘बहुत ख़राब’ श्रेणी माना जाता है.
सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने कम प्रदूषण वाले ग्रीन पटाख़ों के इस्तेमाल की अनुमति दी थी, लेकिन इसके बावजूद कई जगहों पर हवा में अधिक प्रदूषण देखा गया.
मंगलवार सुबह छह बजे, आनंद विहार में एक्यूआई 348 दर्ज किया गया. वहीं, आईटीओ में एक्यूआई 345, बुराड़ी क्रॉसिंग में 393, चांदनी चौक में 347 और लोधी रोड में 334 रहा.
According to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), air quality at many locations recorded air quality indexes (AQIs) exceeding 300. An AQI between 300 and 400 is considered “very poor.”
The Supreme Court had allowed the use of less polluting green firecrackers, but despite this, high levels of air pollution were observed at many locations.
At 6 a.m. on Tuesday, the AQI in Anand Vihar was recorded at 348. Meanwhile, the AQI at ITO was 345, Burari Crossing 393, Chandni Chowk 347, and Lodhi Road 334.
