भारत और फ्रांस की Defence Partnership अब एक नए मोड़ पर खड़ी होती हुई दिख रही है. फ्रांस के भारत में राजदूत थियरी माथ्यू ने राफेल के बारे में कहा है कि भारत में बनने वाले फ्यूचर Rafale लड़ाकू विमान बिल्कुल वैसे नहीं होंगे. जैसे फ्रांस ऑफ-द-शेल्फ बेचता है. ये जेट IAF यानी इंडियन एयरफोर्स की जरूरतों के हिसाब से बनेंगे.
आपको बता दें कि भारत 2 लाख करोड़ रुपये से ज्यादा की लागत वाले MRFA प्रोजेक्ट पर आगे बढ़ रहा है. इसमें 114 विमान भारत में ही बनाए जा सकते हैं. और ऐसा भी माना जा रहा है कि 2030 तक HAL का नासिक प्लांट Rafale हब बन सकता है.
The Indian and French defense partnership now appears to be at a new turning point. French Ambassador to India, Thierry Mathieu, has stated that future Rafale fighter jets manufactured in India will not be exactly like the ones France sells off-the-shelf. These jets will be custom-built to the needs of the IAF, or Indian Air Force. India is moving ahead with the MRFA project, estimated to cost over ₹2 lakh crore. Under this project, 114 aircraft could be manufactured in India. It is also believed that HAL’s Nashik plant could become a Rafale hub by 2030.
