At least nine people were charred to death after a private sleeper bus caught fire following a head-on collision with a container lorry in Karnataka’s Chitradurga district. The bus was travelling from Bengaluru to Gokarna when the crash occurred, causing the vehicle to go up in flames, police said. Rescue operations were carried out and an investigation is underway to determine the cause of the accident.
