Three days after the makers of Battle of Galwan released the film’s teaser, Chinese state-run newspaper Global Times criticised it for allegedly “distorting facts”. The article, headlined “Bollywood film ‘Battle of Galwan’ sparks controversy for distorting facts; expert says no ‘over-the-top’ drama can affect a nation’s sacred territory,” claimed that the events of June 2020 portrayed in the Salman Khan-starrer “does not align with the facts.”
