Actor-turned-politician Vijay’s much-awaited film Jana Nayagan is facing problems just days before its release.
The movie is scheduled to release on January 9, but it has not yet received clearance from the Censor Board of India. The General Secretary of Vijay’s party, TVK, has accused the censor board of delaying the certificate on purpose. He said the board watched the film on December 19 but has still not given approval.
The party said it is waiting until the end of the day for a decision. If the issue is not resolved, they may speak with Vijay and consider taking legal action.
