Despite a court order, the Sambhal Superintendent of Police has refused to register an FIR against ASP Anuj Chaudhary, triggering serious questions about police accountability and the rule of law. This case dates back to November 24, 2024, from the Nakhasa police station area of Sambhal, Uttar Pradesh. Yameen, a resident of Khaggu Sarai locality, alleged that his son Alam was shot by police personnel when he went out to sell papad near the Shahi Jama Masjid area. Following the incident, the family approached the court, naming then Sambhal CO Anuj Chaudhary, Kotwali in-charge Anuj Tomar, and several other police personnel as accused.
