Chief Justice Surya Kant became so angry at lawyer Mathews Nedumpara during a hearing that he warned him that such insolence would not be tolerated in his court. Nedumpara remarked, “Constitutional benches are formed for Adani and Ambani, and issues concerning ordinary people are never heard.” This angered the CJI.
