The Indian Air Force is now considering purchasing 36 to 40 Russian Su-57M1E stealth fighters.
Even after the mega deal for 114 Rafales has been approved!
The Indian Air Force is rapidly upgrading its combat capability.
Recently, a deal worth over $30 billion for 114 Dassault Rafale jets was approved.
But a major question remains—
the IAF does not yet have an operational fifth-generation stealth platform.
China is continuously expanding its Chengdu J-20 fleet.
So, should India wait? Or immediately come up with a “stopgap stealth solution”?
