Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei’s daughter and grandchild have been killed in the military strikes carried out jointly by Israel and the US, news agency Reuters reported citing Iran’s state media. The official Iranian media also confirmed earlier reports about the death of the 86-year-old cleric’s son-in-law and daughter-in-law in the airstrikes.
Iranian state media confirmed that Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei had been killed, hours after US President Donald Trump first announced his death following the US-Israel strikes. Taking to Truth Social, Trump announced that the Iranian Supreme Leader was killed in joint US-Israeli strikes, calling it the “single greatest chance” for Iranians to reclaim control of their country.
