New York has seen the highest death toll for any city in the world, but that too appears to be reducing. In Mumbai, on the contrary, the number of deaths being recorded every day has been rising steadily. Mumbai has been adding around 800 new cases every day over the last few days; the number for New York is below 600.
Mumbai has also been reporting double the deaths than New York over the last few days.
