An Iranian drone has struck an industrial facility in Abu Dhabi, causing a fire to break out. The drone was not intercepted by air defence systems. Firefighting operations are currently underway at the site. No casualties have been reported in the incident. The targeted industrial facility is located very close to Abu Dhabi’s largest refinery, though the refinery itself has not been hit. The UAE has been facing a barrage of missile and drone attacks, most of which have been intercepted by air defence systems. However, a few lone drones have managed to evade interception and reach their targets. This latest incident represents another breach in the defence system, with the drone successfully hitting an industrial facility in the capital.
