She clarified that the no-confidence motion was not directed at Rahul Gandhi but at the Speaker. Priyanka Gandhi stated that Amit Shah ‘misuses the word’ in the House and questioned why the Speaker did not intervene to stop him. She emphasised that the discussion should have remained focused on the Speaker, the subject of the motion, rather than diverting to other topics. The no-confidence motion was voted down following the Home Minister’s response on the floor of the House.
