The Government of India has confirmed that another Indian oil tanker, Jag Prakash, has successfully departed from the Strait of Hormuz. Three Indian vessels remain in the Gulf region, carrying a total of 76 Indian seafarers. The development follows discussions between External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar and Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Arakchi, where it was agreed that India would not face any trouble on this front. Many seafarers and sailors had been stuck at the Strait of Hormuz as Iran was not giving them free passage. Earlier, an oil shipment was also allowed to pass through and had safely arrived at the coast in Mumbai. The government has detailed the positioning of Indian flag vessels across different parts of the Gulf region.
