Saudi Arabia has ordered Iranian embassy staff to leave the country within 24 hours amid repeated attacks carried out by Iran on the kingdom. Saudi Arabia has informed Iran’s military attache, his assistant, and three members of the embassy staff that they must leave within 24 hours. This decision comes after hundreds of Iranian missiles and drones have targeted the Gulf ally of the United States since the start of the war on February 28. The attacks have repeatedly hit US bases and other key infrastructure in Saudi Arabia. While the vast majority of these missiles have been intercepted, significant damage has been caused to key infrastructure in the kingdom. The expulsion follows joint strikes carried out by Israel and the United States, after which Iran has been targeting Gulf allies of the United States including Saudi Arabia.
