In Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, a major controversy has erupted over an AI-generated video. The video allegedly showed Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Election Commission (ECI) in a misleading and disrespectful manner. In this case, Kerala Police’s Cyber Wing has registered a case against the social media platform X (Twitter) and one user handle.
In West Bengal, a major controversy has broken out in the Bashirhat North Assembly constituency over the first supplementary list of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls. The names of 340 voters from a single booth have been removed from the voter list. All these voters belong to the Muslim community. Even the name of the Booth Level Officer (BLO), Md. Shafiul Alam, is missing from the list. Large-scale protests have erupted over this issue.
