An Iranian official has stated that Iran will not hand over its enriched uranium to the United States or any other country, rejecting a key demand in the ongoing negotiations. The official accused the United States leadership of presenting imaginary victories and blamed the country for the increased tensions in the Strait of Hormuz, noting the waterway was open before the conflict. The refusal to surrender the enriched uranium stockpile remains a major sticking point and previously contributed to the collapse of the Islamabad talks. Despite the approaching ceasefire deadline, a resumption of the war appears unlikely due to severe global economic pressures. This includes warnings from the United Arab Emirates to transition transactions to the Chinese currency if not compensated for exhausting its dollar reserves. Future negotiations, expected to take place shortly under a new Islamabad accord, will focus on resolving these core issues, alongside demands for unfreezing hundred billion dollars in Iranian assets seized during the nineteen eighties.
