Pradeep Gupta, Chairman and Managing Director of Axis My India, has released exit poll predictions for upcoming assembly elections in Tamil Nadu, Assam, and Kerala. In Tamil Nadu, Gupta projects a significant political shift, estimating actor Vijay’s Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) will secure between 98 and 120 seats with a thirty-five percent vote share. This performance potentially challenges the fifty-year duopoly of the DMK and AIADMK, with TVK gaining traction among youth and women demographics. For Assam, Gupta predicts a BJP majority, attributing the result to pro-incumbency and strategic alliances led by Himanta Biswa Sarma. In Kerala, the forecast indicates a win for the UDF, noting the NDA’s impact on the Hindu vote share. Regarding West Bengal, Gupta withheld specific numbers due to a high percentage of silent voters. The predictions suggest TVK could serve as both king and kingmaker in Tamil Nadu, drawing historical parallels to the political entries of MGR and NTR in South Indian politics.
