Jabalpur cruise capsize: A tragic accident occurred in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, on the evening of April 30th when a cruise carrying approximately 40-45 tourists capsized in the Bargi Dam reservoir due to a severe thunderstorm and high-velocity winds. Despite ongoing rescue efforts by the SDRF, NDRF, and the Indian Army, at least 9 fatalities have been confirmed, while 22 passengers were successfully rescued; however, several others remain missing in the 20-foot-deep backwaters of the Narmada River.
